Many people believe they cannot create art because they have not learnt
drawing techniques. However, Art from the Heart is an expression of your inner self
and reflects the journey of your spirit through this life. To attend this
course you don’t need artistic ability. Nor do you need meditation experience.
However, those that do may find they will tap into greater creative energy to
enhance their artistic abilities and meditation experience.
In each session the facilitator, Jan Purser, will lead you through
relaxation exercises and a guided meditation to help you shed the day’s
concerns and establish a deep connection with your heart. Then, with this
profound feeling of peace and calm, you can allow free expression of what you
feel in colour, shapes, images, objects or even words. You can use acrylic
paint, pastels, ink, textas and/or coloured pencils for your artworks. You may
even like to use collage application as well.
The course focuses on meditation and the art of being meditative to tap
into playfulness and freedom with your creativity. The class will provide a
non-judgemental environment with gentle guidance along the way. You will
certainly come away feeling peaceful and with a lightness in your heart.
