Jan's mission is your nutrition - to help you get your mix of food choices in the best balance to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and prevent disease. Jan is passionate about setting you on the best path so you can feel the best you can. Jan has been in practice since 1996 in natural therapies and naturopathic nutrition. Jan, a qualified naturopathic nutrition consultant and remedial therapist, is the contributing natural health editor for Australian Good Taste magazine and her monthly column "Natural Solutons" has appeared in this magazine for the last decade. Jan is often called upon by the media for her comments and suggestions on natural health, appearing regularly in health columns in The West newspaper in Perth.
By using her knowledge and experience in both the food and health fields, Jan has authored eight books on cooking, meditation and natural health. Her latest two books have won international awards. The Eat Well Cookbook, a fabulous gluten-free and dairy-free book, follows fast on the heels of The Detox Cookbook which is an essential guide to doing detox well.
Jan also works extensively with corporate groups teaching Stress Management and Meditation. She has worked with NissenKestelHarford, Holyoake, Murdoch University administration staff and the FESA CommCentre staff of late.
Additionally, Jan is an accomplished award-winning artist and uses painting and drawing as part of her therapeutic one on one / small group meditation and art sessions. Jan personally enjoyes creating landscapes, still life and waterscapes and many of her paintings are in private collections. She uses acrylics and pastels in her works and takes commissions.
