This hot drink is very warming and will help reduce the severity of a cold or flu. Drink five or six cups of this tea during each day that you’re unwell.
1 lemon, rind finely grated, juiced
1 tbs chopped fresh sage
2 sprigs fresh thyme
2 tbs finely chopped fresh ginger
3cm cinnamon stick
2 cardamom pods
1 chamomile tea bag
1 tbs honey
500ml (2 cups) boiling water
Place the lemon rind and juice, sage, thyme, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and tea bag in a coffee plunger or teapot. Add the honey and boiling water.
Cover and let the tea steep for 10 minutes before straining and drinking.
Makes 2 cups
