Art From the Heart Course
Meditation into Creations
I
will be running my Art from the Heart course in October 2010. This
course is such a
pleasure to teach. It is a very relaxing and therapeutic way to start
your week. I particularly love seeing the creative joy that develops during the classes.
Many people believe they cannot
create art because they have not learnt drawing techniques. However,
Art from the Heart is an expression of the inner self. To attend this
course you don't need artistic ability. Nor do you need meditation
experience. However, those that do may find they will tap into greater
creative energy to enhance their artistic abilities and meditation
experience. Some people discover creative talents they didn't know they
had.
In each session Jan will lead you through relaxation
exercises and a guided meditation to help you shed the day's concerns
and establish a deep connection with your heart. Then, with this
profound feeling of peace and calm, you can allow free expression of
what you feel in colour, shapes, images, objects or even the written
word. You can use acrylic paints, pastels, ink, textas and / or
coloured pencils for your artworks. Jan is there to give tuition on
drawing and painting techniques when you feel the need for direction.
The
course focuses on meditation and the art of being meditative to tap
into playfulness and freedom with your creativity. The class will
provide a supportive environment with gentle guidance along the way.
You will certainly come away feeling peaceful and with a lightness in
your heart.

Corporate Courses and Workshops
A busy work load, deadlines and keeping a competitive edge can create a pattern of chronic stress in employees and management alike. Chronic stress can adversely affect work performance, productivity and wellbeing, which all impact negatively on the corporate culture. Moreover, chronic stress can lead to toxic communication and worrying long-term health conditions.
Jan teaches effective and practical techniques for reducing stress. Keeping your work team relaxed gives you a real competitive advantage. Greater motivation and energy, improved positive self-talk, communication and reduced sick leave are some of the valuable benefits you might expect. What better way to retain and reward a good work team.
Courses range from a snappy two-hour workshop to an in-depth four to eight week course of one-hour sessions. Jan structures her successful courses on the client's requirements. For information regarding the corporate courses, workshops and bookings, contact Jan via email or on 0417 695 047.
What People Say
"I thoroughly enjoyed your 2-hour Corporate Stress Management + Relaxation workshop as I am sure others did. I feel it could have been longer if anything. Many thanks for helping start what was a great day and giving us some food for thought. I will certainly recommend you to others." Alison Wells, School of Education, Murdoch University, WA
"At a time when staff welfare and retention are absolutely paramount, Jan's stress management and meditation course was timely, very enjoyable and most enlightening. We are a 40 staff accounting practice and engaged Jan to provide an 8-week course (1 hour per week) in meditation and stress management. The course was well attended, extremely well prepared and presented with various meditation and stress management tips, exercises and techniques together with references for further inspiration.
"The majority of staff felt more relaxed, are able to better manage stressful situations and understand the importance of balance and a peaceful mind.
"I would thoroughly recommend Jan’s course to any small to medium sized business looking to improve staff culture and stress management, in and outside the workplace." Stephen Gava, Managing Director, Nissen Kestel Harford
